Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT DO I HAVE TO WEAR/LOOK LIKE/ACT LIKE FOR CHURCH?

At Glad Tidings, we accept you as you are. Some may like to dress up for church; others don't. We simply ask that you come as you are and show respect to those around you.

WHY DO WE ANOINT WITH OIL AND PRAY FOR THE SICK?

“Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.” (James 5:14-15)

WHY DO WE HAVE SPEAKING IN TONGUES AND INTERPRETATION OF THOSE TONGUES?

I would like every one of you to speak in tongues but I would rather have you prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may be edified. (I Corinthians 14:5)

Therefore, my brothers, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.
(I Corinthians 14:39)
